A blunt still life withholding color; a swelling fund of unprotected waste. The seductive promise of something better, cleaner and more organized is irrefutable. These corrupt bargains however are the very detergents that threaten a more complete resplendence. Harmonic topiary, spliced ribbons, fluorescent tubes and other unobvious games all make their demands here. An amplification of naturalness!
This album was recorded in early 2021 at the Devil’s Spa in Toronto. All tracks are cut from live improvisations. Simple sample loops were made and played over using a Korg Poly-800 and Roland XP-10 with effects, then recorded direct to cassette.
